Glaucoma is a group of diseases of the optic nerve involving loss of retinal ganglion cells in a characteristic pattern of optic neuropathy. Although raised intraocular pressure is a significant risk factor for developing glaucoma, there is no set threshold for intraocular pressure that causes glaucoma. One person may develop nerve damage at a relatively low pressure, while another person may have high eye pressures for years and yet never develop damage. Untreated glaucoma leads to permanent damage of the optic nerve and resultant visual field loss, which can progress to blindness.

I understand how u feel.
I got a great-grandma who had the almost same thing as ur dad. She was nearly blind last time when she was young, about age20+ (i think it’s late 20s), why she got blind? Becoz her husband passed away, she cried till almost blind.. that was very sad. And about 5-6 yrs ago, she passed away. (she was about age 91 when she passed away). Yea, means she has been blind for so many years.
The older she gets, the blind she was. Sometimes she thought she saw someone, when actually.. NO ONE there. So, she claims she saw someone. That actually scares us. ( i mean ghost la)
Not only this, sometimes she said she saw my uncle was doing something nauthy at the living room in the middle of nite, when the thing actually is not happen. What to do? she onli can see a very blur shadow. She stand very firm that she saw my uncle doing that thing. Haih.. very yun wong.
I think she needs us to care about her a lot. Caker, u gotto go back home more.
