Had a pool games and drinking session with colleagues and bosses on Friday night. This pub is called Pool Bar, located at Tanjong Pagar. It’s quite a cosy place to hang out at. After a few rounds of beer and food, we orderred hot coffee and tea. This is my first time to la kopi in a pub, it’s so…… strange yet satisfied, I’m a coffee addict.

After that we went to another pub by the name of TCSS Karaoke Pub.

Question: What the hell is TCSS?
Clue: Yes it’s an acronym, but not an acronym of the pub’s owner’s name or pub’s owner’s pet’s name.
Question: So what the hell does TCSS stand for?

Question revealed.

Damn it! This pub owner is so very…… err……. creative?

“Nice Guy Syndrome” is a folk psychology term describing an adult male who seeks sexual attraction and romantic intimacy but only finds cordial friendship and platonic love. The term originates from a type of platitude often heard by such men (”You’re a really nice guy and all, but…”).

The “nice guy” is typically a pleasant, intelligent and highly considerate male and with low or misguided confidence (especially with women). These traits often lead to afflicted men being a very good listener, and articulate and expressive speakers. They are also more negatively polite than their peers. They are also more likely to be within the Autistic Spectrum, have a lower than average proportion of muscle and less worldly success. Such men are often frustrated, if not indignant, about their romantic trouble.

好人文化起源于女性常以“你真是个好人，我相信你可以找到比我更好的女孩子”、“虽然你人真的很好，但是我们…”这样的借口而拒绝男性的追求，因此衍生出“好人”的说法，意指“对一个女性付出心力但被拒绝的男性”。

好人的用语出现之后，围绕这个名词逐渐发展成一种网络文化中的次文化。例如在台湾的bbs站上，出现了“好人”的讨论版面及好人俱乐部的组织，拥有大量的版友及成员，许多有类似遭遇女性拒绝经验的男性，在网络上借由彼此对于个人处境的分享、男女交往相关意见的交流、以及彼此的鼓励，逐渐产生一种认同感，并产生一些共同用语和想法。随著好人文化的发展，“好人”逐渐不再限于男性，而泛指对爱情付出却得不到回报的人，因此女性也加入了“好人”的行列中。
