It seems a lot of people (except me) are so into Facebook these days, I keep getting invitations from my friends in Facebook, which I find it kinda disturbing. Don’t know why, I just don’t have the interests in Facebook. Everty time when I received notification email from Facebook, I simply delete the email or I click the link to my Facebook account and then click “ignore” to reject the invitation.

You should know what’s the consequences for not responding to the requests and invitations. That’s right, you’ll get a long page with umpteen pending requests!!!

Today I decided to do some house keeping in Facebook. I got stunned after I see a long page with pending requests awaiting my response. Alright, let’s spend some time to do some clickings then.

Damn! It took me a couple of minutes to click “ignore” links.

Now my Facebook page looks clean and neat.

PUTRAJAYA (Aug4, 2008) : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has blamed civil servants for many of the problems in the country which has made the people angry and hate the government.

He said this (anger and hatred for the goverment) can be reduced if civil servants would change their attitude and carry out their responsibilities accordingly so as not to create unnecessary problems for people dealing with the government. (Pak Lah, did you mean you do carry out your responsibilities accordingly?)

“…for example, our inefficiency in doing our jobs, our extreme bureaucratic measures which make people hate us, our actions which people think involved corruption, or our decisions on the private sector or the people which were made too late,” he said at the PM’s Department monthly assembly this morning. (Pak Lah, don’t blame on them, they merely follow your way of doing jobs.)

He warned that foreign investments which is much needed by the country as they bring projects and job opportunities for the people may be lost if potential investors find there were delays or unsatisfactory decisions in Malaysia. (That’s right, we are already losing many foreign investors.)

“They (foreign investors) will not come if they have to face a higher cost due to the delay in the government’s decision-making process. Surely they would not like to accept this extra cost, especially because it comes from the administration,” he said, adding that when making decisions, civil servants must always be patient, sincere, honest, responsible and trustworthy.

“Don’t let people think we are not responsible, not trustworthy, not caring at all or arrogant. This will surely make them angry and this is not good because all these are our own doing.” (The fact is that most, if not all of us are indeed under the impression that the government civil servants are not responsible, not trustworthy, not caring at all and arrogant.)

“It is not because of Europe or what is happening in America or other countries. This is our own doing, which we must avoid,” he said adding it is also the people’s responsibility to maintain peace and stability in the country.

“We are the ones who determine our peace and stability. Not other countries; not other people. Yes, it may be difficult when we were facing various problems but it is still our responsibility to take care of political stability, to ensure peace within our country. (Yeah right, then why did you and your arrogant fellow UMNO members keep screwing the rakyat with all the provoking statements?)

“We have laws whose sovereignty we must uphold strongly. Our enforcement must be effective. This is what we should do – our responsibility. No need to ask people from far to come (here) or accuse others for our inability to ensure peace and stability,” he said. (What laws? From what I know is that laws only apply to rakyat, those who walk in the corridors of power and their cronies are above the law.)

Abdullah also touched on the government’s delay in making payments especially to contractors despite the Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan saying all bills will be settled “within the shortest time possible.”

“Don’t delay. Why should we delay payment of the bills? The works have been done, the money now belong to others, why would we want to keep it? Why should we delay when people are waiting?” (Yeah, can you please find out from your subordinates and tell us why?)

“If it is delayed for three months, the cost of business will increase. They cannot make their payments to the banks. When this happens, the interests will become higher. This is also our problem which makes people angry at us,” he said. (Oh I see, this is so called cause and effect lah?!)

He said when the people are angry, all kinds of negative stories will be heard and allegations will be made against the country, especially in the borderless Internet world.

“I am not saying all those who used the Internet and blogs are not good. While there are some who were responsible, there are also those who abused it,” he said, adding some people misused the Internet to spread rumours. (Well, compare to those people who use government-controlled media to cover up the truth, we are nothing.)

Yes, Jim and I had bak kut teh within 3 days in Klang, we are bak kut teh lovers.

How’s the taste? Taste good, very munchy, smells good, very munchy, oops, did I say very munchy twice? We couldn’t stop putting them into mouth until the packet become empty.

So if you like to eat keropok ikan, this brand is definitely THE one to buy.

In order to remember the brand, I removed the brand sticker from the plastic packet and pasted on my cubicle wall.

Suddenly, a wonderful feeling came over me, I felt joy, satisfaction, and quietude. I shared this feeling with Cely, and she admired me for I am enjoying my single-man lifestyle. In fact, she has few friends who are single and living alone happily.

I am not living alone, I have 2 housemates but we don’t really get to meet each other very often. Jim stays overnight in girlfriend’s house almost every other day, and I don’t expect to see him home on weekend. Meng Siang is running a bridal shop, he works 7 days a week from 11am till late night. It’s considered early for me to see him home before 10pm.

In other words, I am home alone most of the time, but I am totally fine with it. I like staying at home than going out on weekends unless there are special occasions. Some friends of mine said that I’m a lonely person who is having a boring life. That’s their perception towards me. What they don’t understand is that I am single, but I’m not a lonely person. Staying home alone does not mean my life is boring.

“What do you do on weekends if you don’t go out?”, friends asked me. Well, there are many things I can do. I watch TV programme, do housekeeping, read books, listen to music, come online, and update blog. Oh yeah, I’m taking Erhu class recently.

What makes you think that life is wonderful only if you go out every weekend? There are friends who do not agree with me that staying home can be enjoyable, some of them even whine to me that they have empty feeling when they are alone. In my opinion, this is because they don’t know what to do when they are alone, they don’t have activities that they can do without company. Even if they go out with friends, the lonely feeling come back to them when the party is over.

Reading is a very good past-time activity to me, I recommend friends good books to read but it’s just too bad that most of the people I know don’t like reading. Even if they do, magazine would be their only reading resource. Reading is boring? OK, fine. How about take up some classes that you are interested in? Yoga class, dancing class, music class, drawing class, cooking class…… you get to meet new friends while learning new stuff, doesn’t it sound good? If you are mercy and kind enough, be a social service volunteer then.

There are so many things we can do to fill up the so-called “empty feeling” and “loneliness”, so stop whining about you feeling lonely and bored every now and then, and start learning how to enjoy your single life.

Here we go, 5 reasons why I blog:

1. To share my observations and thoughts with both people I know and people I don’t know.
2. To share interesting articles with everyone who read my blog.
3. I want to record things that happen to me, be it good things or bad things.
4. To bitch about stuff that irritate me.
5. I need not repeat same stories over and over again to many people, they can read from my blog.

Alright, mission accomplished.

Sydney’s ASX is no exception to the bad news

Asian stock markets have dived lower after the biggest drop in Chinese stocks in a decade triggered a steep slide in global markets.

Japan’s TOPIX index dipped 3.88% while the country’s Nikkei 225 stock index lost 3.56%.

The slips were echoed in Seoul, Sydney and Singapore but in Shanghai itself the index began recovery, rising 1.2%.

Wednesday’s falls were sparked by a near-9% slide in Shanghai 24 hours earlier over fears on China’s economy.

大年除夕的中午，父亲突然有感而发，由他口述，我作笔录，还要我把这篇文章放在我的部落格。写了前面几行，立刻明白了父亲是针对他的前雇主兼妹夫而来的。看来父亲酝酿这篇文章已久，只等我回来帮他把心中的忿满宣泄出来并转化为文字而已。

我边写边摇头，已经过了一段时期了，没想到我的父亲对我的姑丈的寡恩薄情还在耿耿于怀。说曹操，曹操就到；写到此处，姑丈与姑妈突然登门到访。父亲正躺在后厅的睡椅上小睡，我怎么劝说也不愿意起身。我和母亲与姑丈姑妈寒暄了几句，然后他们就走了。从进门到派红包，到无关痛痒的寒暄，而后离去，全部过程不到五分钟。

我不知道姑丈与姑妈是不是心中有数，我关心的是父亲何时才能真正放下执著。

唉哉……

我的心情当时立刻沉到了谷底。

家和万事兴，家衰口不停。谁都希望一家人可以和睦融融地相处在同一个屋檐下，我当然也希望能够和大哥和睦相处，只是大哥的生活以及处事态度实在是令人不可恭维。

母亲一直认为大哥现在的处境是因为时运不济所造成，所以母亲始终维护着大哥，反而认为我们兄妹仨人联合起来与她作对。对于母亲来说，和大哥作对就是和她做对。

和母亲通了电话，讲话内容和妹妹告诉我的几乎一模一样。

“看到你们这个样子，妈妈哪里还有心情吃团圆饭。我随便煮一煮，你们要吃就吃，不然就自己到外面解决算了。”

我听了真的很心痛，只好向母亲道歉并承诺以后不再和大哥吵架，然后硬软兼施地哄说我们将上饭馆吃团圆饭。 母亲不置可否，只是说到时我回来后才打算。

唉……

本来以为我不在家的日子，三弟可以帮忙照顾好家人。三弟也确实是想好好地照顾家里，只是他的牛脾气和说话时的语气常常让家人很不好受，对于我多次的规劝也似乎不放在心上。

从妹妹口中得知，五弟已经开始学会独立了，依赖家人的习惯也逐渐地改善了。身为老幺的五弟，在被父母过度地保护之下，养成了很强的依赖性。还好他还会想到改善自己，这一点真的让我感到欣慰。

真的不知道我们将会如何度过除夕夜。

Justin brought this album “Sing 石欣卉 – 从台北到北京” to office.

I don’t know why she got herself a strange English name “Sing”, sounds so weird.

I checked out the album cover, the booklet and the cd, and then the first thing that came into my mind was “Is this a pirated cd?”

No joke, you would think the same if you happen to have a look at this cd album. The photography and printing quality is really not good, that makes it looks like a low-budget album.

Anyway, there are 10 tracks in this album, all sentimental love songs except for track 1 从台北到北京.

Below is the preview of her MV, I got stunned the first time I saw it. She’s become a hot babe now.

Justin is not a music lover, reason why he bought this cd was because 石欣卉 was his university hall mate (hostel mate) or more specifically Sheares Hall mate in NUS.

Hmmm…… I wonder if she still remembers who Justin is.

One of my colleagues told the waiter that today is my birthday. After we finished our meal, all the waiters and waitress came to our table, and made an announcement about my birthday. I was asked to stand on the chair, and a stick of sparkler was given to me. After that they started to rap-talk which I can hardly listen to it clearly (the overall idea was something like welcome you the birthday boy to our restaurant), and then sang me a birthday song.

What was I doing? I was standing on a chair, singing along with them and swinging the sparkler.

Oh Yay! Happy 29th birthday to myself!

Lyana and I are typical Asians who love to eat rice and noodles, so we decided to go for Chinese food at Crystal Jade Restaurant @ Takashimaya.

While waiting to be seated, Lyana noticed something on a tray was moving. We then took a closer look at the tray, holy shit, there were 4 living soft-shell crabs.

We are “Suah Koo (山龟)”, we have never seen living soft-shell crabs before. Lyana touched one of the crabs to find out if it really is soft. She is a bit silly, soft-shell crabs of course have soft-shell, what.

We then went to Kinokuniya book store. They are having 2-day promotion, 20% discount for all books. Today happened to be the last day of promotion, lucky me. I bought 5 books at $52.09, 1 book averagely costs me $10.40. Damn cheap!

I have no choice but to be a lone ranger during her absence.

兄妹俩充满期待的目光注视着巴士出口处，看见了那位等候下车的上班族妇女。

两兄妹的脸上立刻露出了阳光般灿烂的笑容，开心地走上前迎接刚下班的母亲。

上班族妇女散发出一股很满足的气息，下车后马上紧紧地拥抱两位可爱的儿女，然后手牵手的走了。

这就是——幸福。

幸福真的可以很简单，只要你用心去体会。

I have to bring them go around the island hunting for good food, so I had no choice but to put my Project Get-Rid-Of-Tummy on hold.

I walked a lot during these 2 days, I think it might help to clear some fat a bit.

I cannot afford to fall sick at this very critical moment, because Cely and Hong Kiat are coming to Singapore tonight. I promised to bring them to zoo, bird park, museum, science centre and some historical spots…… yeah it’s all crap! All they want is to indulge themselves by enjoying good food (although not much good food here), chilling and shopping. 

I drank damn a lot of water hoping it might help a little, and for the matter-of-fact, it really helped. No more sore throat when I woke up this morning, Yay!!! 

But I have itchy throat, and a little bit of phlegm, and a litte bit of cough. Not feeling good in office, wah lan, wait no more, took half day off and went to see doctor in the afternoon.

Came home with cough syrup and antibiotic, cleaned up my house a bit, and then made myself a very healthy dinner.

Looks good huh? No salad dressing, no catchup, no chili sauce, no pepper, no soy sauce. This is the first time in my life to have such meal as dinner. 

What a wonderful dinner.

Justin: “Muahaha. I tell u.. after a while. u’ll feel good eating it..”

Me: “Yes i believe so.. but i doubt i feel good to wake up earlier and make the freaking breakfast by myself.”

Justin: “haha..”

My beloved colleague Mr. Justin Timberlake Loo (ok, I made it up, he doesn’t have a middle name “Timberlake”) taught me a method on how to get rid of my on-growing-bigger-tummy by controlling Carbohydrate intake.

How? Eat less rice, less noodles, less sugar, less condensed milk, less breads, less potatoes, less cereals, and less big bao 大包 – my breakfast for almost everyday.

Damn! I am a typical Asian, noodles and rice are my everyday meal, I’ll go hysteria if I don’t get to eat noodles or rice for 2 days. It sounds crazy to me but I have no choice but to give it a shot.

So I bought butterhead lettuce, pork ham, sausage, and a bottle of caesar salad dressing.

For the very first time, I’d wake up much earlier than usual to make breakfast by myself instead of getting it from food stall.

这次回去老家大有斩获，买了9本书回来，总共花了大约230令吉。

这是我个人有史以来买最多书的一次。 

这些书是分别在三间不同的书局买的，所以我一时也没注意到我到底买了几本书。

花了230令吉，开始时觉得有些心痛。

但是老师说我们要往好的方面去想，所以我就把买书费从令吉兑换成新币。

230令吉=100新币。

赚新币真爽！

其实很多女孩的遭遇和想法和春娇差不多。

“习惯了在一起”、“不想要重新去认识一个人”。

这其实是感情上的惰性。到了这样的一个地步，你要的已经不是一个能互相扶持的伴侣，而是一个生活习惯上的依赖品了。就好像抽烟，明明就没有上瘾，但是又不能狠下心来戒掉这个坏习惯，皆因为抽烟已经成了生活习惯的一部分了。

I asked my mom since when I started crazy about eating durian.

已经有好几年没在马来西亚度过国庆日了。其实我不曾庆祝过国庆日，也不知道怎样才算是庆祝国庆日。我没去过吉隆坡大钟楼看过国庆游行，只有在小学时期看过电视直播国庆日游行，此后国庆日对我来说只是一个公共假日。

Hmm…… 我好像不是很爱国哦？

你爱国吗？

爱国不是嘴上说了算，往车上贴挂国旗更不能代表一个人的爱国心，这只是一种肤浅的爱国形式，充其量也只是代表这个人有多重视国庆日罢了。

真正爱国的话，不需要你做到为国捐躯那么伟大，只要能够做到奉公守法、安分守己就非常足够了。

爱国需从小事做起。

不偷抢拐骗、不随地丢垃圾、不随地吐痰、不逃税、遵守交通规则、等等……

如果以上基本的条件都做不到，就算你天天把自己包在国旗里大唱Negaraku也没有用。

说起国歌，有些人连唱一首完整无误的国歌都有困难，州歌更不必说了。

我曾经要求一个朋友唱他的州属的州歌，他反而瞪大眼睛问我：“什么州歌？有州歌这玩意儿？”

哇蓝！我当时感觉犹如五雷轰顶！爱国？爱个屁！

我自认有爱国的情操，但是在爱国的行为方面还有待加强。

不啰嗦，趁现在还没到12点，让我们高喊：“Merdeka！Merdeka！Merdeka！”

我心里犯了一阵嘀咕，为啥近来身旁的友人都问我类似的问题呢？

我：“先别搞错，我没有断背的倾向。我是孤单一个人，但是我并不寂寞。孤单并不等于寂寞。”

同事：“那你一个人的时候都在做什么？”

我：“看书啊、上网啊、写部落格啊、打球啊、听歌啊、逛书局啊，偶尔和朋友相约出来吃饭喝茶什么的，蛮好的啊。”

同事：“你看书？漫画吗？”

我：“漫画对我来说不是书。”

刚好我的背包里有一本我正在阅读的书，就拿出来让他看了一下。

同事看了书的封面说：“我所知道的慈禧太后：慈禧曾孙口述实录，哇？你怎么看那么深的书？”

我：“并不深，只是我对中国历史比较感兴趣而已。”

话说回来，一些朋友认为我口说不寂寞其实是我自欺欺人，他们总认为我一定会有感到寂寞的时候。我自己回想了一下，我真的很久没有试过寂寞的感觉了。

这些年来的际遇使我觉得保持单身是一件好事，然而大多数的朋友却认为我这样的思想有些不太对。多数人都认为结婚生孩子是人生必经之路，但是我个人却不苟同此说。

当你遇到一个真正可以让彼此成长和互补对方的不足的另一半，同时又没有经济上的困扰的时候，那么结婚生子自然是一件好事。否则，宁缺毋滥是最好的选择。

为了结婚而结婚是最愚蠢的。

有些人在本地找不到老婆，但是秉着「结婚生子是人生必经之路」的宗旨和「传宗接代」的使命，花了一大笔钱去「买」越南新娘回来，全然不管文化隔阂、语言沟通问题、还有性格是否合得来。这就是典型的「为了结婚而结婚」现象。

友人们就是搞不明白为什么我周末总爱呆在家里不出去，而我总是不太了解他们为什么那么喜欢去逛街而不愿留在家。他们给的理由是在家很无聊没事干，而我恰恰觉得在家可以做很多事情，仅仅是看书已经可以占据我大半天的时间了。 

我真的非常享受在家的滋味，因为只有周末呆在家里，才有放松和休息的感觉。

那些始终不能体会「我孤单，但是我并不寂寞」概念的人，大概他们寂寞的心灵只有爱情能填补吧？但是这样的心灵会否有一些狭隘呢？

我不知道我是怎么死的，我甚至没有意识到我已经死了，因为我还是像正常人一样地活动，而身边的人也没有察觉我有什么异样。

简单来说，我是一具没有呼吸和心跳，但是有思想意识的活动尸体。

当我发现我其实已经是一个死人时，我出乎意料地不惊慌，也没有感到害怕。

我很清楚地感觉到当时在梦里的我有一些困扰，那就是我有一点放不下身边的亲人和朋友。

然后，我醒了。

和朋友提起我的梦境，她帮我找到了这个解梦的网页。

我的梦境的解析是–“当一个人感到‘虽生犹死’，感到自己如‘行尸走肉’，感到自己的心已经死了，感到自己已不再成长时，他就会梦到自己死。” 

哗！还真干死人的准！

几个星期前发现左眼的眼白出现一小团的褐色的小斑点。

不感觉痛痒，以为过了一段时间褐色小斑点就会自动消失，所以就不把它当作一回事。

几个星期后褐色小斑点依然呆在那里，不肯自动消失。想到父亲的青光眼疾，心里开始感到有一些忐忑不安。

向公司请了半天假期去看眼科医生。

首先做了近视和眼压检查，正常的眼压度数是21度以下，超过21度就是眼压过高了。

伟哥：“医生叔叔，我的左眼出现一小团褐色的小斑点，有问题吗？” 

医生：“哦，没问题啦，这是因为眼睛的色素细胞数目增多而造成的。就好像出现在人体皮肤上的痣，不会影响健康的。”

伟哥：“哦。” 

医生：“但是你的眼压过高。你的父亲患有严重的青光眼、你有近视眼、再加上眼压高，你患上青光眼的机率会比一般人高很多。”

我对于医生的回答并不感到意外。我知道青光眼是会遗传的，而我在几年前已经知道我的眼压高了，只是我拖到今天才做一个正式的青光眼检查。

伟哥：“青光眼不是要到了四十岁过后才会发病吗？” 

医生：“那可不一定，四十岁前也可能会发病。你现在需要做青光眼检查。”

伟哥：“哦。” 

我跟着一个医护人员进了检查室，他说要检查我的眼角膜的厚度。他用一只手撑开我的右眼，另一只手拿一支笔状的探测仪，然后在我的眼球的上、下、左、右、和眼睛中间各点触了大约5秒的时间。当探测仪点触在我的眼球表面的时候，眼球就开始痒了起来，我还感觉到探测仪轻微的震动。出于人体自然反应，我的眼泪一直夺匡而出，搞到我泪盈满眶，不知情的人会以为我被人性侵犯呢。检查了右眼，还要检查左眼，这滋味还真不好受。

跟着做了视野检查，先蒙住一只眼睛，然后把头往仪器凹进去的地方塞。医护人员递了一个按钮器，说：“在检查的过程中，你必须始终注视中心的注视点。当你看到有灯光在视野范围内闪亮时就按一下按钮。”这玩意儿就好玩多了，有一点像在玩电脑游戏，一看到灯光就按钮。同样地，两只眼睛都必需被检查，全程大概费时15分钟吧？

终于做完了检查。在等待医生的检查报告时，我由始至终都没有一丁点的焦虑和不安，真奇怪。

医生：“看了你的检查报告，你没有患上青光眼，你的眼压过高是因为你的眼角膜比较厚。以防万一，你必须每年做一次眼睛检查。”

伟哥：“哦。谢谢医生。” 

诊断费80元，检查费６０元，再加上GST，总共是147元。

我做了两个眼睛检查，医生只收我一个检查的费用。我的父亲的眼科手术他也给我们一千元的折扣，好一个仁心仁术的医生啊！如果他是我的亲戚，我大概就不用付钱了吧？他妈的，我真是一个得寸进尺的卑鄙小人。

离开医疗中心，我的心情平淡如常。

This is what I did, I selected a sports channel using Tvants on my laptop, then output the graphic to TV through s-video cable. That’s it.

I breathed a sigh of relief.

昨晚看了电视直播新加坡2006大选成绩公布。

全岛人民最关注的选区其实只有波东巴西选区和后港选区，大家都想知道人民行动党有没有能耐攻下反对党的老地盘。

果不其然，老牌反对党领袖詹时中以1724张多数票击败人民行动党候选人司徒宇斌。如今已届71岁高龄的詹时中，是自1984年以来，第6度获选为波东巴西单选区议员，创下了不败神话。而工人党秘书长刘程强也以高票夺下后港区。

和上一届大选成绩一样，人民行动党保持了82席，民主联盟和工人党也各自成功地保住了自己的地盘。

每次看到电视播出新加坡国会会议时就感到很纳闷，这算是什么国会会议？这简直就是人民行动党在开会嘛！在国会里只占有两席的反对党，虽然不能左右政局，但总算还是可以扮演监督政府的角色，希望他们会有所作为。

世界上最遥远的距离
不是生与死
而是 我就站在患有眼疾的父亲面前
他却认不出我

我说：“信用卡能陷人于万劫不复之地，亦能救人于水深火热之中。”

这是我的切身感受。

父亲这一次的眼科手术的花费是大约六千五百新元，合折一万五千令吉。

不幸的是，我那少得可怜的存款根本就不足以应付这笔费用。

我不想欠太多的人情，所以只向一个朋友借了一千元，其余的就靠我与弟弟的存款和信用卡了。

我刷了两张卡，弟弟刷了一张卡。这一次的难关总算勉强度过了。

下一步要做的，就是向银行贷款以还清信用卡帐单。

这是一个挑战，也是一个沉重的负担。

然而我对这个负担却丝毫没有抗拒、更没有怨天尤人。

我竟然能没有怨言地去接受这个挑战。 

此刻，我发现我变了，我的心境又更上一层楼了。

这让我很惊讶，我认为是佛理改变了我，虽然我不是一个真正的佛教徒。

我没有别的牵挂，只希望爱钻牛角尖的父亲能真正放下执著、不要再怨天尤人。

因为人生无常，所以好运不会永远跟着我们。

也因为人生无常，所以歹运也会有离开我们的时候。

After that we went to another pub by the name of TCSS Karaoke Pub.

Question: What the hell is TCSS?
Clue: Yes it’s an acronym, but not an acronym of the pub’s owner’s name or pub’s owner’s pet’s name.
Question: So what the hell does TCSS stand for?

Question revealed.

Damn it! This pub owner is so very…… err……. creative?

That is not it, what really impressed me was I can migrate all my previous posts and comments to WordPress with the "import" feature. 

It only took me 3 steps to complete the migration process. 

1. Simply enter my blogger.com login name and password.
2. Sit back and relax.
3. Ta-da, mission accomplished.

I can now safely delete away my old blog.

不出我所料，房东果然为我们准备了丰富的元宵节大餐。

鱼、虾、鸡、鸭、猪、菜、汤。

午餐和晚餐都在家里解决了，不花一分钱。

房东万岁，您是最好的，您知道吗？

ps: 漂流者说照片看起来好凄惨，像是几个离乡背井、可怜的麻甩佬的食物。我说食物的卖相确实是不怎么样，然而美味+温情已经抵过一切了。幸好她也认同我的看法，要不然我可要为她念往生咒了。开玩笑的啦，南无阿弥陀佛。

Why?

Because I was lazy + busy + other matters that eaten up my time, like… I can’t remember now.

Whatever.

I am going to switch my blog engine from blogger.com to WordPress, recommended by Lyana, who is using WordPress and gives it a 2-thumbs-up. The features in WordPress makes me drooling. I already have it installed in my hosting server, it’s just that I need to spend some time to configure my blog beautifully, and then, if possible, migrate all the current blog entries to WordPress.

Some update of what i have been doing for the past few weeks.

Party at Shirley’s house on Christmas Eve, threw up after a couple of white wine + red wine + beer + damn alot of food. The toilet was occupied, so I made some abalone sharkfin soup in a basin at kitchen. Overnight at her place, laid on a sofa like a dead fish. Yes, just “laid”, not “get laid”. Jim was worried that I might get raped by the girls, so he decided to stay back with me. Jim, you are too good to be a friend, next time you can just leave me alone, thank you.

Received message from Shirley the next day. Holy Moly! She got pregnant! I was supposed to attend her wedding dinner on December 2006, now she has to advance it to March 2006. Damn, I have limited time to save money for her angpau.

Celebrated New Year in Boat Quay with Eddy, Jim and his friends. Left Boat Quay around 2.30 am, no way to get a taxi dued to overwhelming crowd. In the end, got in a night rider bus, sat at stair case, took 45 minutes to reach home. No more new year celebration next time! Stay at home or party at friend’s house is THE right choice.

Went cruising with Star Cruises – Superstar Virgo. Jim, my younger brother and his girlfriend + his colleagues + his colleagues’ friends – 15 of us. I made some friends on board, 3 sixty-something-year-old ang moh from England, husband and wife with a 4 year-old cute little daughter from Singapore, 1 NUS lecturer from Singapore, A half-Thai-half-British ang moh Doctor and his wife – 100% ang moh. Frankly, it’s kinda strange to see ang moh speak in Thai. Oh yeah, his father is a retired 4-star navy general in Thailand, don’t play play ah!

Got to know them in Karaoke, we even did duet, it was fun! Had penang fried kuey tiau and did some shopping when the cruise ship stopped at Penang and Phuket. Lazy to edit photo, you can go to Jim’s blog to check out out some pictures.

The latest happening is – I am playing drums for Jim’s sister, she managed to get into grand final for 8th National Chinese Song Writing Competition. I didn’t know this was quite a big event until I checked out the website, especially the partner and sponsors section. She and her friend the lyricist wil be going for an interiew at UFM1003 on 18 January 2006, 8.30 pm.

Alright, I didn’t mean to write such a long entry but I just couldn’t stop writing.

已经唔记得几时，几月，几日。讲古佬遇到雀仔。已经唔记得雀仔点样慢慢咁走入讲古佬的生命。

有一日，一个好平凡嘅讲古佬，係街上遇到只好靓、好得意、唱歌好好听嘅雀仔。只雀仔係树上休息，讲古佬行过，俾只雀仔吸引住，望咗好耐，企喺树底望咗好耐。雀仔都有留意到讲古佬一直係度望住佢。之后，讲古佬继续行佢平时行嘅路，一条好直、好平凡嘅路，一条佢每日都行嘅路。当佢行紧嘅时候，一直喺度捻住只雀仔，只雀仔一直喺佢脑海入便飞来飞去。

第二日，讲古佬好似平时咁行佢要行嘅路。当佢经过棵树嘅时候，只雀仔又出现，係树上唱紧歌。讲古佬停咗脚步，喺树下听雀仔唱歌。听咗好耐，听到唔舍得走，
一直係度听，直到雀仔飞走，佢先继续行佢嘅路。唔知点解，讲古佬开始挂住只雀仔，好想好快可以见到只雀仔，好期待听日嘅来临，希望可以再睇到雀仔係树上唱歌。

第三日，讲古佬比平时早出门，因为佢好心急要见只雀仔。当佢行到棵树，只雀仔真喺係度，真喺好靓。讲古佬好耐都无咁开心过，唔通只雀仔识法术？可以带D欢乐俾人？只雀仔依然係度唱歌，讲古佬依然係度听。听咗好耐，到最后，讲古佬做咗个决定。佢想伸只手出来，希望只雀仔会飞落来，企係佢嘅手度，唱歌俾佢听。

讲古佬捻咗好耐，犹疑咗好耐，佢惊只雀仔唔会理佢，唔会飞落来。不过，佢想试下。结果佢伸咗只手出来，睇住只雀仔对翼係度郁，好似想飞咁。雀仔终于展开对翼，飞咗起来，对住讲古佬嘅方向飞去，慢慢咁飞到佢只手度。讲古佬好紧张，心跳得好快，佢从来未试过呢种感觉，好似得到全世界咁。

但系只雀仔无再唱歌，佢静静咁，郁都唔郁企係讲古佬只手度，眼定定咁望住讲古佬。好耐好耐，讲古佬同只雀仔都无出声。讲古佬决定发挥佢嘅专长，讲古仔。佢想讲古仔俾雀仔听，开始讲，讲下讲下，只雀仔越听越兴奋，係讲古佬只手度跳舞，好似好开心，好中意讲古佬D古仔。于是，讲古佬就越讲越有满足感，佢觉得好幸福，因为只雀仔识得欣赏佢D古仔。

古仔讲完，雀仔飞开讲古佬只手，飞係半空，准备飞去第二度。係半空，雀仔望住讲古佬，讲古佬对眼亦都无离开过只雀仔，好似係度问紧只雀仔，几时会再见。可惜只雀仔唔识讲嘢，佢飞走咗。

雀仔飞走之后，讲古佬又继续行佢嘅路，但系今日佢行得好快，脚步好轻，因为佢想快快行完，快快到听日。

听朝起身，讲古佬出门，去到棵树度，只雀仔无係，讲古佬有D失望。但系佢捻到可能只雀仔未睡醒，佢要係度等，等到雀仔飞过来。等咗好耐，终于见到只雀仔。雀仔无飞到去树上，佢飞到讲古佬嘅膊头，望住讲古佬。佢嘅眼神，好似想话俾讲古佬知，好想听古仔。讲古佬亦都好似明白只雀仔，开始讲起古仔。雀仔听紧古仔好专心，讲古佬亦都俾足心机去讲每一个古仔，佢唔想令雀仔失望。佢想用D古仔吸引只雀仔每日都飞过来，飞到佢膊头。佢好紧张，唔想讲错。讲古佬好想只雀仔开开心心咁飞来，开开心心咁飞走。（待续）
