What Now? Bloggers Are Actually Coward!

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 18 (Bernama) — Umno information chief Tan Sri Muhammad Mohammad Taib has described writers of political blogs, whom he says looked brave in criticising government leaders, as cowards.”Why I say they are coward? Because they are afraid of using (web) addresses in the country but use overseas addresses to slam our country leaders. Is this the character of a man? This is not a man, this is a ‘pondan‘ (transvestite).”"How dare they say no one can touch them, no one can drag them to court because no laws can be used to take action on them,” he told reporters after a meeting of Umno’s information chiefs from the divisions nationwide.

Wow! Jobless, liar, goblok, monkey, and now coward and pondan. Pandailah awak, macam-macam nama pun kau orang boleh fikirkan. Mantap!

Wait a minute, what does this Umno information cheif mean by saying bloggers behave like cowards and thus bloggers are pondan? Blogger = No character of a man = Pondan? Hmm… what has this got to do with pondan? Is he trying to say that transvestites are cowards?

He obviously doesn’t know there’s a transvestite who is a famous kick-boxer in Thailand. Tan Sri, how about arrange a friendly match and you challenge this pondan? As what you have said, pondan is coward. Since she is a pondan and according to your theory, she doesn’t have a character of a man, I think she probably will not accept your challenge. If she ever accept your request, I doubt you will be man enough to fight with her.

Tsk… tsk… tsk… can we accuse him for insulting transvestites?

Tan Sri, how can you say bloggers are cowards when you married Sultan’s daughter secretly and you didn’t have balls to admit it?

Registration of Electors

Dear Fellow Malaysian Citizens,

Have you already registered as an elector? If so, you can check out http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/daftarbi.asp to find out your registration status.

If you are 21 years old and above but have not registered yourself as a voter yet, please kindly do so as this is to secure your right to vote in an election and exercise your right as a citizen.

That’s not my point actually.

We have already had enough of corruption, nepotism and racism, being ignorant does not do us good. In order to change for a better future, we have to help ourselves, we must do the RIGHT thing by voting unqualified-politicians out of the parliament.

Check out http://www.spr.gov.my/index/regelectors.htm for details.

Saya Anak Bangsa Malaysia

Apa nak jadi?

by Raja Petra Kamarudin

I crawled out off bed Wednesday morning with a heavy hangover. No, I did not spend the previous night boozing away. I went to bed Tuesday night coughing and wheezing and I knew I was going to wake up the next morning with a touch of flu. Nevertheless, Wednesday morning would be when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad will address the assembly of 100 or so bloggers and writers. So, like to or not, I would have to drag my sick arse to Putrajaya to video-record the event.

I spent the rest of Wednesday afternoon plus Thursday morning working on the video. After I had uploaded the 21-part video, I leaped into bed and slept soundly. I woke up later that evening to update the website and then went back to sleep. I even missed my ‘Thursday night’ and this made me quite pissed really.

Understandably, I am in a most foul mood today — what with the flu, coughing, sneezing, dribbling nose, and missing my ‘Thursday night’ to boot. And when I am in this type of mood I do not write nice things. I will whack and whack hard. And today I want to whack the Malays for being so stupid.

The issue that has got me all riled up is the matter of Wee Meng Chee, the Malaysian student in Taiwan who redid our National Anthem into rap format. Actually, I looked at the video and found it rather clever. Now, don’t get me wrong, I did not say I approve of it. It is like me saying that I am awed at how clever a certain jewel thief is. He is certainly the best jewel thief in the world. No one can stop him and he has never even got close to getting caught. Nevertheless, in spite of his skill, he is still a thief and nothing more than that. Only that he is the best and should be acclaimed as so.

Hijau by Hady Mirza & Zainal Abidin

This song “Hijau” by Zainal Abidin has always been one of my favourite songs. I remember I bought this “Hijau” album in a cassette back in early 90’s but now this cassette is nowhere to be found.

Selangor Sultan: Keep politics out of N-Day celebrations

EXCLUSIVE: By WONG CHUN WAI
The Star
The Sultan of Selangor wants politicians in the state, regardless of which parties they belong to, to put politics aside and refrain from bringing up contentious issues ahead of the 50th National Day celebrations.

Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah said he did not want anyone to dampen the mood of the celebrations but to instead instil the Malaysian spirit.

“The celebrations are a once-in-a-lifetime event, keep the politics out for the time being. I want the people to focus on the common issues and be proud of Malaysia as one people.

“The politicians, regardless of their parties, can have all the time they want to talk about politics after National Day but for now, I do not want to hear any issues that can hurt the feelings of any community,” he said.

The Sultan said he wanted Malaysians to understand that the country’s independence was achieved through the unity of all the major races.

He said that unity, through the sharing of political power, had continued until today and that it should be emphasised by the politicians.

National unity, involving the Malays, Chinese and Indians, brought us independence and subsequently, through the unity of the other ethnic groups, helped us form Malaysia.”

Let no one forget that we achieved independence because of that. No one race could have brought Malaysia to what it is today,” he said in an interview.
