Hong Kiat and Cely have been staying at my place for quite some time. During this period, I have discovered something about Hong Kiat that many people may or may not know.
Hong Kiat……
- is a Tech Blogger who takes blogging seriously.
- can’t drive a manual car.
- can’t ride a bicycle.
- has no sense of direction.
- very good in sleeping.
- is an IT geek. Turning on the laptop is the very first thing he does when he wakes up.
- loves to eat chicken rice, he believes in “a plate of chicken rice a day, keeps the doctor away.”

Did I mention that he loves to eat chicken rice twice?
These are from a book called Disorder in the Court, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters who had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

What: Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Sanctum of Enlightened Respect III

Snuff-taking was all the rage in Chinese court circles at the end of the 17th century. By the 18th century, this practice of sniffing snuff spread to the wealthy outside the court. Beautiful bottles used to contain snuff (grounded tobacco) were crafted and collected as prized possessions. This exhibition showcases 355 gems from the outstanding snuff bottle collection of Denis SK Low, who is a Director & Patron of the International Chinese Snuff Bottle Society and Patron of the Singapore-Chinatown Snuff Bottle Society.
Mr. Low has been collecting snuff-bottles for 28 years and his collection includes some of the world’s finest pieces. In this exhibition, you will be able to feast your eyes on imperial pieces made out of jade and enamels on copper and gold, and snuff bottles fashioned out of glass, porcelain and interesting stones. Find out more about these miniature works of art which are on public display for the very first time.

Tech Blogger and Cely are in town. They are currently looking for jobs in Singapore, but they are more like in vacation mood now, they did this, this, and this most of the time.
Went out for dinner at Billy Bombers and beer at Brewerkz on Saturday night, took some pictures.
